Creating your first project

Set up a new brand workspace, name it, and land on a working dashboard.

Updated 2026-07-22

Everything in Postazo is scoped to a project. One project = one brand or one product line. You can run as many projects as you want under a single account, and each one has its own Brand Kit, library, autopilot workflows, and connected social accounts.

Create the project

New accounts land on the onboarding flow after signup. If you've been through it once and want to add another project:

  1. Open the top-left project switcher.
  2. Choose Add project.
  3. Give it a short, memorable name — this becomes the URL slug (postazo.com/<slug>/…) and shows up in the switcher.

You can rename a project later without breaking anything internally — the underlying record has a stable ID.

What lands on day one

Once the project exists you get:

  • Dashboard with a setup checklist (Brand Kit, one connection, one post).
  • Brand Kit in a partial-fill state — Postazo prompts you to add whatever's blank as you use the app.
  • Empty Library, Products, References, and Quotes — you populate these as you go.
  • No connected social accounts yet — you'll add these before you can actually publish.

What to fill in first

The setup checklist walks you through the four things that unlock everything else:

  1. Brand Kit — at minimum, name / description / tagline / tone. See Filling out the Brand Kit.
  2. A social connection — connect at least one platform so posts have somewhere to go.
  3. One post — take Create for a spin end-to-end.
  4. One scheduled post — proves the publisher works.

There's also an optional fifth step (turn on Autopilot) — worth doing once the basics are solid.

Multiple projects

If you're managing brands for clients (or agencies), spin up a project per client. Everything is isolated — brand voice doesn't bleed across projects, and each has its own connected accounts.

Switch between them with the project switcher any time. Your last visited project is remembered per session.

Once the project exists, move on to the Brand Kit — that's where every generation starts reading from.
