Publishing your first post
From blank Create page to a scheduled post, end to end.
This walkthrough takes you from a fresh project to a scheduled post live on your social accounts. It assumes you've filled at least the essential parts of the Brand Kit and connected at least one platform.
1. Open Create
From any project, click Create in the top nav. You land on the Post tab by default. The four tabs across the top:
- Post — text-only. Best for LinkedIn, X, and image-optional Facebook.
- Image — text + AI-generated or uploaded image. Best for Instagram, Pinterest.
- Video — text + short-form video (UGC or Start Frame). Best for TikTok, Reels, Shorts.
2. Fill the prompt
Type what you want the post to be about in the prompt field. Two extremes both work:
- One line: "Announce our new autumn colour palette."
- Detailed brief: "3 things that changed this month at the studio. Focus on our new signing, the podcast launch, and the free workshop. Keep it warm; end with a soft CTA to reply."
You can also pull from a Product, Library item, or Reference using the source selector on the right.
3. Generate
Hit Generate. Postazo produces caption text tailored to your Brand Voice + hashtags scaled to each platform + (in Image or Video mode) visuals.
You can edit the generated copy directly — the field is fully editable — or regenerate with a follow-up nudge like "punchier hook" or "drop the emoji".
4. Pick destinations
Below the preview you'll see one panel per connected account. Toggle the ones you want the post to go to. Each platform preview shows exactly how it'll render.
5. Schedule or post now
- Post now publishes immediately.
- Schedule lets you pick a date and time. It queues to the scheduler and fires at that moment.
Scheduled posts show up in Scheduled. Completed publishes show up in Posts with delivery status per destination.
6. Confirm delivery
After a Post now (or after a scheduled slot fires), open Posts → click the post. Each destination has a status pill (Delivered / Pending / Failed) with an error message if delivery bounced.
That's the entire pipeline for a single post. Once this feels comfortable, look at Autopilot workflows — same output, no clicking.
